The Segafredo Zanetti Espresso Café in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, has recently opened to the public its latest addition due to an expansion culminating with the possession and renovation of a large historical location. The new and original locations now occupy and dominate the main artery connecting the capitol's new Marina area with the Cathedral square: Calle El Conde.
The expansion brought the whole café from roughly 1,800 sq.f. to over 5,000 sq.f. with the added part located almost behind the country's French Embassy and not far from the colonial square where the original house of Christopher Columbus, the country's heroes monument & the capital's best hotel, historic Sofitel Nicolas de Ovando, sit.
The inauguration of the new side, facing the original café, has been a great success & gathering for the entire youth, political & business community, with also a number of expatriates coming to the event. Over 1,000 people and SZEspresso aficionados populated this nice street of the Santo Domingo Colonial area until late at night.
The developer, Vuelta Arriba Café, is currently working on the next opening at La Romana International Airport, adjacent to the tourist town of La Romana and the resort of Casa de Campo, world famous golf & vacation destination.
